When your whole life is spent working on bleak off-world colonies you don’t come across much groovy, upbeat disco, jazz or funk. However, unexpected music has a way of reaching the far-flung reaches of galaxies.
A mixtape labeled “Folamour for Flamingos” was stashed within a false bottom in a drawer with a pack of cigarettes and a William Shatner photo, which is when I discovered the sound of groove. Folamour makes music that disregards the worries of the future for a later date and revels in the joys of today. My life is short, but if I can’t take a moment to enjoy Folamour’s groovy spirit then what’s the point of life.
